Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hazard Ready Training Pty Ltd handles information in relation to our Meta Quest application, Hazard Ready Training, and our website.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “we”, “us” and “our” means Hazard Ready Training Pty Ltd.

This Privacy Policy is divided into three sections below:

A. Meta Quest / Meta Horizon App Privacy Policy
B. Website Privacy Policy
C. General Terms Applying to Both the App and Website

A. Meta Quest / Meta Horizon App Privacy Policy

1. Scope of this app privacy policy

This section applies to the Meta Quest / Meta Horizon application Hazard Ready Training.

Hazard Ready Training is an educational virtual reality training application. The app may be free to download from the Meta Horizon Store, but access to the app’s main content may require a valid licence, durable add-on entitlement, in-app purchase entitlement, or other entitlement linked to the user’s Meta account.

2. App data we process

We do not sell app user personal information.

At this stage, we do not collect, store, or share app user personal information on our own external servers, except where limited temporary licence, entitlement, or session verification information is processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

The app uses Meta Platform services to check whether the logged-in Meta account has the required licence, durable add-on entitlement, in-app purchase entitlement, or other entitlement needed to access the app’s content.

To perform this entitlement, licence, and session verification, the app may process limited Meta Platform data and licence verification information. This may include:

- Meta User ID or another Meta account identifier required to check entitlement ownership
- Limited Meta User Profile information where required by Meta Platform services or Meta’s Data Use Checkup classification for add-ons, in-app purchases, or entitlement checks
- Add-on, in-app purchase, durable licence, SKU, or entitlement ownership status
- A unique licence key, licence verification value, or entitlement verification value associated with access to app content
- A temporary licence/session verification result used to confirm whether the user is authorised to access licensed training content
- Basic app, device, and session information required for Meta Platform services or the app session to return or confirm the entitlement check result

We use this information only to verify whether the logged-in Meta account has access to the relevant app content, to operate the app session, and to help prevent unauthorised or duplicate use of licensed content.

3. Durable licence, add-on, entitlement, and session verification checks

Our app checks durable licences, add-ons, in-app purchase entitlements, or other entitlement records through Meta Platform services.

The purpose of this check is to:

- Confirm whether the logged-in Meta account has a valid entitlement for the app content
- Unlock content where a valid entitlement is detected
- Restrict access where a valid entitlement is not detected
- Allow the user to retry the entitlement or licence check if access is not detected
- Support licence verification and access control for the app
- Support networked session integrity and help prevent unauthorised access, duplicate offline use, or misuse of licensed content

When users join a networked session, the app may temporarily compare the logged-in user’s Meta User ID, entitlement status, unique licence key, licence verification value, or session verification result against other active session information. This is done only to confirm that the user is authorised to access the licensed training content and to help prevent duplicate offline licence use or unauthorised session access.

This verification information may be processed temporarily on the user’s device and, where technically necessary for a networked session, by the session host, session authority, or app session logic for the active session. It is not used to display public social profiles, profile photos, friends lists, contacts, or other social profile features.

We do not use Meta User ID, Meta User Profile information, entitlement information, add-on information, in-app purchase information, licence keys, or licence verification values for advertising, analytics, marketing, external user profiling, or sale to third parties.

We do not use Meta User Profile information to display public social profiles, show profile photos, access friends lists, access contacts, create external user accounts, or build user profiles outside the app.

4. App data we do not collect or store

Through the Meta Quest app, we do not collect or store the following on our own external servers:

- Payment card details
- Meta account passwords
- Licence key redemption details
- Friend lists
- Contacts
- Messages
- Precise location
- Biometric information
- Eye tracking data
- Hand tracking recordings
- Voice recordings
- In-app analytics
- Advertising identifiers
- Usage behaviour for marketing purposes
- Social profile information for display, marketing, analytics, or external profiling

If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before collecting or using any additional information.

5. Local device data and temporary session data

The app may store basic local information on the headset, such as preferences, configuration settings, or whether a licence or entitlement check has recently succeeded.

The app may also temporarily store or process licence and session verification information on the device, such as the logged-in user’s entitlement status, Meta User ID, unique licence key, licence verification value, or a temporary licence/session verification result.

This information is used only to operate the app, verify access to licensed content, and support networked session integrity. It is not used for advertising, analytics, marketing, or external user profiling.

Where technically necessary for networked session verification, limited licence/session verification information may be transmitted between the joining user’s app and the session host, session authority, or app session logic for the active session. This is used only to confirm valid access and help prevent duplicate or unauthorised licence use.

Users can remove locally stored app data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s local data through the device settings, where available.

6. Meta Platform services

Our app uses Meta Platform services for entitlement, add-on, in-app purchase, and durable licence verification.

Meta may process information relating to Meta accounts, app entitlements, purchases, add-ons, device access, licence redemption, and platform services according to Meta’s own terms, platform policies, and privacy notices.

Users should review Meta’s privacy settings and Meta account information through their Meta account.

7. App data sharing

We do not sell app user data.

Limited information may be processed by Meta Platform services as required to operate entitlement, add-on, in-app purchase, and durable licence verification.

Limited licence/session verification information may also be processed within the app session, including by the user’s device, the session host, the session authority, or app session logic, where technically necessary to verify licensed access and prevent duplicate or unauthorised licence use in a networked session.

We do not share app user data for advertising, analytics, marketing, external user profiling, or sale to third parties.

8. App data retention

We do not store app user personal information on our own external servers, except where limited temporary licence, entitlement, or session verification information is processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

Temporary licence/session verification information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to verify access, operate the app session, prevent duplicate or unauthorised licence use, troubleshoot entitlement issues, or comply with legal obligations.

Local device settings and local licence/session verification information may remain on the user’s headset until the user clears local app data, uninstalls the app, or the app overwrites or removes the information as part of normal operation.

Entitlement, add-on, in-app purchase, licence redemption, and Meta account information may be retained by Meta according to Meta’s own terms, policies, and account settings.

9. App user data deletion requests

Because we do not store app user personal information on our own external servers in the ordinary operation of the app, there may be no server-held app user data for us to delete.

Users can remove locally stored app data, including local settings and local licence/session verification information, by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s local data through the device settings, where available.

Users may still request deletion of any personal information we hold about them, such as information provided through email, support requests, website enquiries, or business communications.

To request deletion, contact us at: support@hazardreadytraining.com.

For information held by Meta, including Meta account information, app entitlement information, licence redemption information, add-on ownership, in-app purchase information, or purchase history, users should manage that information through their Meta account settings or contact Meta directly.

10. Children and students using the app

Our app may be used in educational or workplace training environments.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Meta Quest app. Where the app is used by a school, training provider, employer, or other organisation, that organisation is responsible for managing user access, device use, supervision, and any required permissions or consents.
